Model T Tractor Conversion Hubs

Post by desertexplorer » Wed Aug 26, 2020 5:27 pm

These gear hubs came off of a Model T rear end I picked up with some other T parts. I don’t know what tractor conversion unit used these but they look a little like Shaw but I’m really not sure. There are casting marks on each hub G2067. They have a little wear but don’t look like they’ve been used much.
$150 for the pair

Your gears are in great shape. One tooth light and a flange heavy for Shaw. Worth twice what you are asking if the right guy wants them.

New Shaw gears. I do not have any for sale. Not trying to highjack an add!

Thanks for the info. Do you think these are Shaw or to heavy to be Shaw? I’m not familiar enough with Shaw to know if they made gears with a flange. Your right that they don’t even look like they were barely used. 7 tooth would probably increase your pulling power too.

So Mr Weiss, inquiring minds want to know. What's the manufacturer? My guess monkey Ward's?

Bill must have a Pullford built between 1930 and 1941 because that is what the gears are for.

Here is a follow up on the hubs.
They are smaller that others I have seen.
Too small for a Sears Conversion.
Too small for Pullford Model A or Model T Conversion.
Photo for comparison.keep getting yellow triangle when I try to load photos.

I wanted to use with a Sears Conversion but these are way small and do not mesh with drive gear
They are half the size of Pullford conversion.

What year or style of Sears conversion kit do you have? Do you have worn gears or no gears?

Bill The pinions behind the late Pullford's are for a Model A Sears conversion. Are you building a Model T or an A Sears conversion? Your conversion is 1937-about 1941(end of production). The width of your rim determines the approximate age of your conversion. The rim width became smaller every couple of years as the 30's progressed. The saw rig you bought is based on a 1917-mid 20's Staude tractor attachment. It is such a great setup! I hope you leave it like it is. Do you still have your snowmobile? A 44 gauge?

Bill-Do you need Sears Model T pinions or are you looking for better Model A pinions?
