1923 runabout top bows
I bought this extra set of original top bows as a reference to look at while I was installing the bows I rebuilt on my 23 runabout. It had enough of all the elements of the original top installation to show me where things need to be tacked on my new top. The front wood was no good where it met the steel and I cut it down so I could have cross sections to look at and measure. It had a slight dent in one of the front irons but it’s not serious and easily made to look better. The main thing is the curve part of both fronts are solid and that’s rare on these top assemblies. All the wood on the back bows is original and could be used, but it’s probably better to install all new wood on all the bows. The front brackets that attach to the windshield are there and in good condition. I removed the original “Hidem” welt trim end pieces to use on my top. $350 plus postage.
