WANTED! Broken Crankshaft.

Post by Pep C Strebeck » Wed Nov 04, 2020 3:13 pm

Calling on all members of The 2-Piece Crank Club. I am looking for a broken piece of a crankshaft for an upcoming project. In particular I am looking for the section with the rear main journal and the mounting flange, similar to the piece shown in the top of the photo below (picture stolen from the internet without permission).

If you have one available and are willing to part with it and what I am certain are all of the fond memories that it must possess, please let me know. You can contact me through e-mail or a Private Message here on the Forum, Private Messages work better for me. Thanks for looking and for your help, it is appreciated.

I've got one. I'm in California and you'd have to pay shipping.

No, it does not need to be a Scat crankshaft. A very good friend of mine that I worked with for 40 years (God Rest His Soul) was an avid boater and I remember him yelling at his oldest son when he was first teaching him to pilot/drive a boat: For Christs-sake, if you're gonna hit something, hit something cheap. That broken crank does not look cheap. I lifted that picture from the old forum;
