The Oilers pictured were never factory installed on any Model T. What you have there are Maxwell Oilers. If you would like to sell them, send me a PM.

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
If correct oilers are not similar to what are sold for early brass cars, I would appreciate seeing one. My '15 has all the man-hole covers, etc., and I am curious now about "correct" shackle oilers.
Please someone post pix.

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
Yes, that is the correct style BUT originals were "patent dated".

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
Here's what original Winkley patent dated twist oilers look like ! Far left is generator, center is '12 - '17 front axle & shackle - right are larger non-spring assisted for '09 - '11 front axle - in the neighborhood. And no, not for sale - I don't have many left.

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
I may be wrong about this? But I "think" the early '15s used the style like Antonio P shows, with patent markings as Steve T says. I have read and "believe" that Ford switched to the manhole style about early to mid calendar year 1915. The early manhole style was only used for about three years ('15/'16/'17). A lot of the earlier style twist brass oilers were made without the patent markings, and are often found on brass era model Ts.

I thought the man-hole cover was on the kingpin and tierod links, but not the shackles? So, if those Antonio is showing have a spring loaded cap and you're right, then I've really learned something today (which really isn't a surprise, I suppose!). My '15 has man-holes where I expect, and pat. date oilers on shackles. Again, assuming you're correct, I wonder when/why there was a cross-over?

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
I have been corrected. The ones I showed first photo are as James stated for a Maxwell.

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
Shackles never had "manhole" oilers - all were the brass twist type until the tin "flip-top" type arrived on scene.

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
Scott - your timer, if original aluminum or cast iron, would also have the "manhole" oiler.

Re: WTB 1915 correct oilers
The oiler posted by Antonio is an old reproduction. The ones that Langs sells are the closest to an original I've seen.
