Brent, I have a sent I got from Ole Bill Sieburg years ago, they are still in the crate paper, they are brass and then nickeled.

Jonah, I have two sets, never been used one set is all brass?? that set is tarnished but prongs have never been bent, the other set looks like steel that have been chromed.
