FOUND!!!! All brass carbide generator for 1912
After a very nice conversation last fall with Mr. William Glass, someone who I feel is an authority on early brass T's, I have new found confidence that the correct carbide generator for my early '13 is in fact the one shown in the photos here. It is either a Jno Brown or Victor. They are virtually identical. The THREE HOLES that mount it to the running board are ***SIX INCHES EXACTLY*** between centers. Any deviation from this measurement will not work on my original running board. This is the right one used with all brass Jno Brown model 19 headlights.
Does anyone have one they would part with? It doesn't have to be a show quality as my car isn't show quality, but it has to be functional, or be at least restorable and complete.
Thank you in advance for your help. The generator in the photos is the exact one I am looking for. NOT the lights. I missed out by 30 minutes on this one last year in the photos from the HCCA site.

Thanks for the heads up Joe! I’m wanting one that is functional though. Looks like this is a hot item when they come up for sale!

Re: WTB: All brass carbide generator for 1912
Are you looking for a Jno Brown or a Corcoran? The picture you posted is a Corcoran. Mike makes the Jno Brown. Perfect reproduction with the correct base and a perfect tank tag. Not sure if the basket comes with it. They are a little hard to find but it is very easy to make his tanks function. If you want a Corcoran I believe Wayne at brass auto makes them. If you want any pictures of a correct Jno Brown email me and I can send them to you.

Re: WTB: All brass carbide generator for 1912
Thanks guys. The one I need MUST have the 3 hole mount with 6” centres. I don’t know enough about the differences between the brands. I do know there’s quite a variation in the bolt hole spacing with many of the all brass generators. The brand with the 6” spacing is what I need. Anyone out there have measurements?

Re: WTB: All brass carbide generator for 1912
Any info on availability of new ones and who has them would be helpful. Not sure if I want a new one, I would rather find an original but I would like contact info for new ones if I do decide to go that route. Many thanks!
