Bob, You should have them transferred to DVD and sell the copies. I would bet the copyright is expired.

"...one is a Mack Sennet comedy of 1925 dealing with a radio controlled Model T"

That movie is called "Super Hooper Dyne Lizzies", starring Andy Clyde. I have it on Super 8mm film, too, as well as "The "Rise and Fall of the Tin Lizzie". Both are good Model T movies that the guys on this website would find interesting. Until the late 1970's, I used to buy films from Eastin-Phelan (Blackhawk Films) in my hometown of Davenport, Iowa. I think what did them in after decades of success was the advent of the home video tapes. These were much cheaper to buy and didn't need expensive, $35.00 light-bulb-blowing, finicky projectors to view. Two-reel (400foot) Super 8mm sound films with a run time of about 28 minutes cost around $45 by 1980. The same movie on VHS could be purchased for $11.98 or less, sometimes with two or three other like-themed movies on the same tape. Which do you suppose would win the battle for the customer's dollar? Yup. Someone went ahead and built a better mousetrap. I use the word "better" advisedly. So sad to see Blackhawk Films go out of business. The building is still there, but it has been vacant since they shut down operations.

Anyway, if any reader here has an 8mm projector and still loves to hear the flicker sound of the film being run by the sprockets, these are films you should buy for your Model T library. I couldn't tell from the boxes whether they are Standard 8mm or Super 8mm. Unless one has a projector that runs both, it might be a good idea to specify which your films are. I assume since you put "8mm" in your description, the films are Standard 8mm?

Hmmm...as I recall, one format had a large hole in the center of the reel and the other format had a small hole. I believe the small hole means Standard 8mm. It's been 25 years since my last projector died, so I haven't viewed any of my movies since then.

Fatman -
Are your projectors Standard 8mm or Super 8mm? Silent only or sound?

I found 2 on my shelf. The Sad Clowns(2 reels in the box) and Felix in Hollywood. I think both are Super 8. Anybody want them?
