Still no activity per this request....hope someone here has this either complete or as parts. If interested in a trade, I have (2) double twist style horns with the standard bell cover and horizontal inlet...both are perfect show quality...one stamped RUBES, one with no stamping. Both are originals that I restored.

Not sure what the provenance of this style is, or precisely how long Ford was using them, although I don't believe I've seen one on a 1910 car. Never seen one that has a radial double twist tube like 1910 through 1912....all have a semi-rectangular wrap of the tube. Benson Ford has invoices showing (7) different horns having been supplied in 1909, however nothing describes exactly what the physical differences may have been. Perhaps someone here is in the know on this?
Regards,
Scott

Hi Scott. Attached are some photos of a 1909 touring I once had that has the horn you are looking for. The car, which was restored by Marv Roth, is now owned by Russ Furstnow.

In my search for a Sears horn, I will keep my eye out for your horn.

All the best,
Mike

Wow Mike, that Sears pigtail horn is quite an arrangement. The scalloped horn on the 09 is the only one I've seen with the radial inlet tube...very cool, thanks for sharing these.

Scott

Yep, that's the one...Still looking. Attached shows the 09 style that I initially appropriated for my 09 project. It's a Concours quality restored original. I've come across (2) of the scalloped style in the last (6) months, where both had damages that I will say could not likely be restored. Someone out there has one of these....I doubt they were exclusive to Fords.
Regards,
Scott

Hello Mike:
Got your message and will watch this auction. I hope you were the buyer who snagged the recent Sears Pigtail horn I saw on EBAY? Looks like a good part less missing only the mounting bracket.

Many thanks to the MTFCA Classifieds and a number of good folks here...leads and parts have netted restorable parts that may factor into a constructed horn. Still looking for a couple of minor pieces in better donor condition then I'll post photos of a finished product.
Regards,
Scott

Hi Scott. Wasn't me on the Sears horn...I already have two coming my way soon.

If you check the HCCA classifieds under an offering for Pierce Arrow lights, I think there is a restored horn like your looking for hiding in the lot.

Good luck,
Mike
