Re-conditioned Model T connecting rods

Post by Gene_French » Tue Apr 20, 2021 10:26 am

i have several sets of -.020 and standard diameter re-conditioned Model T connecting rods ... these are from the same batch of old stock rods that i listed several weeks ago , these are obsolete inventory from a long ago closed auto parts store ... i do not know the re-builder , but the rods appear to be of very high quality ,they are X grooved and drilled for oil inlet and outlet , and have shims ...these are sold outright , NO EXCHANGE NEEDED ... price is $280 per set + $15.50 priority mail postage in lower 48 states ... actual postage amount for INTERNATIONAL sales ... please specify diameter needed ... sold in sets of 4 only ... as i stated in my previous listing several weeks ago the STANDARD diameter connecting rods are an excellent choice for the SCAT crankshafts... i recommend that they be checked for alignment before assembly ... as ALL rods should be checked ... i will be saving 2 sets for my own use... the rods are X grooved and i will run oil dippers on my engines ... always an optimist ...Gene French

have several sets of "late" connecting rods ... these were for the stamped steel pistons and use a floating wrist pin ...they are bushed pin ends and DO NOT have the clamp bolt... they will require pistons with floating wrist pins or teflon pads to be inserted in ends of wristpins to prevent pins scoring the cylinder walls ... i am also told that this rod was used in some performance applications using chev. pistons ... not sure of the chev. piston application ... rod bores are standard and rods are X grooved and the caps and webs drilled for oil inlet/outlet ...the picture shows a standard production T rod and the "late style" rod ... these rods are of the I beam type NOT the X rods with integral dippers ... i would recommend adding the dippers available thru many parts suppliers ... price of the "late rods is $280 per set + $15.50 flat rate postage ...

still a few sets of standard diameter rods and standard diameter rods with bushing wristpin end ( .750" diameter wristpin ) ... 1 set -.020" diameter ... these are from the same batch of old stock inventory as described above ... these will probably be the last from this source as the remaining stock seems to be Chev. and some farm implement applications ...
