WTB Smith Form-A Truck I.D.Plate
Here's a long shot, but I'll give it a try. Title pretty much says it all. I'm looking for the brass, (or possibly aluminum), I.D. plate that rivets to the back of a Smith Form-A-Truck frame. Anybody have one laying around?? Let me know what you find. If anybody made reproductions, that would be fine. Kind Regards, Bill Bennett (559) nine six seven 0112.

Thanks Mike, I appreciate the information. Now all I need is a good clear digital image of an original plate to use as a sample for the reproduction. Can anyone out there help in that respect? Kind Regards, Bill

Bill,
This guy had one for sale. https://barnfinds.com/smith-form-a-truck-conversion/ You can see the plate you're talking about, but not a crisp image. I'd consider reaching out to this seller and see if he still has it and if so see if you can get a high res. picture of the plate, or contact Jerry at the Nostalgic Reflections he might have one on file. He's done a lot of plates.

Re: WTB Smith Form-A Truck I.D.Plate
Alright folks, Somebody out there must have a Smith Form-A-Truck I.D. plate they can take a photo of!! No need to remove the plate from the frame, I would simply like a digital photo of it with the over-all dimensions. No huge hurry, but I would like to hear from others that have other similar vehicles. I know there are some others out there!! Thank you in advance for any help. You can call me, text me or send a personal message. (559) 967- zero one one two. Kind Regards, Bill Bennett

Bill,
Found this thread on the Smith Form a Trucks.
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/25 ... 1340334611
Perhaps one of the owners listed on the thread could help you out. Also have you thought about contacting The Henry Ford Benson Research Center? I thought the Henry Ford Museum had a Smith Form A Truck in their museum. Just a thought.

Re: WTB Smith Form-A Truck I.D.Plate
Thanks Mike for all the information. I think I'm now well on my way to having one made. I might have a few made if anyone else is interested. This process will take a little while, so no need to be in a hurry, but if anyone else needs one let me know so I know haw many to have made. They will be a little pricey, but the more we have made, the less the cost per unit. Let me know. Kind Regards, Bill Bennett
