SOLD: An Interesting Group of 21 Early Brass Threaded Hubcaps, Mostly Non-Ford

Post by GGZ » Thu Apr 29, 2021 7:14 pm

Here is an interesting group of early threaded hubcaps. These are mostly for Non-Model Ts but I know there are a lot of Brand X Brass Car collectors here on the MTFCA Forum.

There are 21 total. 18 are brass, three are aluminum. Other than the one marked Hudson, the rest are unmarked-maybe these were aftermarket replacements from back in the day?? They are all heavier brass spinnings and all have inner threads. There appear to be two sets of four matching hubcaps, a couple of unmarked Model T hubcaps, etc. They are all used and dirty from being in storage but are in decent shape and certainly usable. I'll take 200.00 for all 21 including shipping within the USA.

Take a look at the photos. What you see is what you get and what you see is all I got. These are as-is not as-was.

I accept PayPal for payment. Please email: motoringicons@hotmail.com or call 734-730-4274. I DO NOT check PMs and probably won't see your reply to this posting. Thank you.

I believe the two domed caps with the 8 sided wrench purchase in the third photo are from brass Reo's 1908-1910.

I don't see one in your pictures, but my 1912 Flanders uses hubcaps like those shown in the attached pictures. They are 1-7/8" high, 2-7/16" thread ID, with 16 threads per inch. They have a six-sided hex that is 1-3/4" across the flats. They are not stamped with any logo on top.

In 1913, Flanders cars were re-badged as Studebakers and had "Studebaker" stamped across the hex. Otherwise, they were identical. I have two plain ones and three "Studebaker" ones, I would love to find at least two more plain ones.
