1913 Ford Cylinder Head
Would like to buy a real nice 1913 Cylinder Head, NO REPAIRS! These differ than the later ones in that the script is much more clear than the later low heads.

Re: 1913 Ford Cylinder Head
Larry, I have a low head, too, but the Ford script is either weathered or it is a later head. the date code cast on the rear of the head is a 1, and under the 1 is a 3 - 30. Not sure what that means, or if it means anything. Heads in San Antonio, TX.
Disregard post. Forum will not let me delete it. After seeing larry's last post, I'm convinced my low head is a 1915-1917 head.

Re: 1913 Ford Cylinder Head
If I am correct, this is a 1913 head. I'd like to hang on to this particular piece, but if Larry S concurs this is a 1913, it is an example of what to look for.

Yep. It has the square mold marks, like the one I have.

The squares are called chablets, they hold the sand core from floating when they pour, if you look on the machined side you can see where they melted in to the pour. They had a foundry at my day job and love watching them pour iron.
