I have here a rebuilt 26 T engine serial number 14463504. This engine was owned by the late Richard Miles who lived in Michigan City. Richard I was told had several T's and did lots of touring and this was for a speedster project that he never completed. The only things that I can tell you is that the engine was rebuilt. I don't know who did the work nor how long ago the work was done.
Work done on it however is as follows:
Model A crank shaft with weights and bearings
High compression aluminum pistons
Has a inside pressure oil pump system. The engine is not seized up.
This was part of a large collection of T parts that were being liquidated that I picked up. Engine stand comes with it.
Motivated seller open to offers
*** Added information/opinion from a more knowledgable T guy***
Model A crank full length (not shortened) which means the block had to be moved forward on the pan, No obvious balancing holes in the counterweights (crank was balanced or not). Connecting rods look like Model A, which means a "special" piston (from Egge) was used. It relocates the pin to take in consideration the difference in stroke of the Model A crank and the length of the Model A rod. This puts the wrist pin in the oil ring groove which is somewhat undesirable and the piston is no longer manufactured.
