Excellent Nonperiel covered bell horn with original press fit style reed nipple. NOTE: Repro adapters and reed nipples are not the same thread size as originals so these new and old parts are not compatible. If buyer desires the new style reed nipple, I will furnish and install the repro nipple, in exchange for the original nipple. Also note that repro reeds are threaded fit versus taper fit, so likewise not compatible for the original nipple. $1000.00.
Phone only please...(five one three) 378-4235 Regards, Scott

As far as I know, this straight inlet style horn was never reproduced, and no reproduction horns were badged "Nonperiel". Few 112 year old originals survive, even fewer that are Concours quality show pieces.

That thread size for the piece that covers the reed I think is 41/64" x 27. In 1915 they changed it to 5/8 x 28. That is what the repo stuff is threaded like.

Thanks for the history on these Mike. I now understand the logic of the current repro adapter and adapter nipple. Early double twist horns I've restored have a shorter adapter than do the repros, where the flex hose barely clears the end of the reed, so makes sense that the longer repro adapter would be a performance adder.
