Kinda of interested - how long is it when mounted, spring to tire plate?

This is what it looks like on the back of my speedster. Sorry, no pictures of one on a touring.

Are the 3 arms to hold the spare in place included with this mount??

There are two different "Y''s for those carriers - 21" & 23".

Wire wheels do not use the arms. They fit right on the triangle with the three bolts.

The arms are used for 21 inch and 23 inch wheels. The arms for 23 inch wheels are rare and hard to fine.

The rim fits into the two upper arms, and the bottom arm has a bolt to hold the rim in place.

Thanks for the info. The first picture of the mount appears to show the ends of the arms so thought I’d ask.

I have a 26 touring and apparently the arms bolt on for demountable wheels or the mount can be used for wire wheels without the arms. I’m doing a 1915 speedster and need some sort of a tire mount. The mount on your speedster looks good and I’m confident I can A-just things and make it work on mine. If the mount comes with arms I’ll take it.

Ron

It is hard to find one that has both parts. You are better off purchasing the gooseneck and looking for the arms somewhere else. They will eventually show up.

Much thanks for your thoughts and I’m going to follow your advice, which would surprise my wife since she says I never follow hers!! I’m a little surprised that Mr Leonard hasn’t joined in, but we’ll go from here and see what happens. Thanks again!!

I would like to buy the spare time mount you have for sale. If you would give me a total price for it and shipping I will forward a check if that is acceptable.

Good morning gentlemen. Didn't mean to leave the ad on you. The wife had surgery Friday and we are just laying low. In an email I sent to you ron I said I would be back to the shop Tuesday, and would look for the y- bracket also. You all have a good weekend!

Mike

That is totally acceptable. We have been having a fun conversation here. Your wife is your #1 concern, so take care of her first. I hope all works out for Ron. I have to remember to get a pic on here for him. Maybe after the parade tomorrow.

I have the correct nuts, but I think they are stripped so this is what I did. Should be
thin nuts with that are angled on one side(Dont know what that is called)

Thanks again to those involved for assisting me in this project. Learned that the mount is a twofer that can carry a wire wheel or a demountable. I’m looking forward to completing this transaction, getting things powder coated/painted and installed on Cranky.
