Aircraft Spruce sells that identical inclinometer, and advertises that it is FAA approved, so I’m going to guess it’s marked in degrees. That said, that’s the only one I ever recall seeing for airplanes that has any markings at all other than fine lines either side of the ball when it’s centered. It’s use in an airplane is not a bank instrument, but is a slip-skid indicator, in which the ball is centered when the pilot is applying the correct amount of rudder for the amount of bank he is using in a turn. You just say how how far out of center the ball is, like a quarter-, half-, or whole-ball.
