Here are two fun pieces of early motoring literature.



The 1925 Automobile Tour Book was published by the Automobile Club of Buffalo AAA. It measures about 9" by 6" and has about 730 pages.



The 1927 Automobile Blue Book Volume 1 was published by Automobile Blue Books Inc and measures about 9 by 5 1/2" and has about 860 pages.



Both books have tons of information regarding touring and driving routes in the northeastern states including historical, lodging, and tourist destinations. Lots of with great automotive and regional touring ads of all descriptions. The 1925 book has some tape repair on the outer binding but is other wise very nice. The 1927 book is also very nice.



Neat early books about automotive touring during the 1920s.

The Blue Books are not what people think of as today’s blue book. They are how to get from point A to point B when there were no road signs or no hiway numbers. Very interesting reads.
Tour planers should read them and plan their routes like them.
Bet everyone would get lost.
