Original condition HCCT. Complete, nice gauge face. As found in long term storage. Will probably need new wiring and contacts cleaned and tuned up, but what a find. This is a must have item to have displayed in your shop or collection to impress your T friends. Too heavy and fragile to ship, pick up only in Boise, Idaho. 850.00

Whole problem with "unloading" these is people having to travel to get 'em, and then, well REALLY unloading them! Like out of the truck!! LOL

The whole problem is the price is twice what this HCCT is worth in that condition.

Boy, if that's the case, I'm living in the wrong part of the US.

And trust me, I don't think I am... ;)

In another thread today, you said you sold a nicely restored one for $800 and at that price, "that was 1/2 the price of the parts alone". So, if a restored unit is worth $1600, why isn't this worth the asking price?

A restored 1915 model T apparently just sold for the price of the engine alone, but I don't use that as a gauge of its actual value.

To each their own...and that is why both sellers and buyers both think they got a deal worthy of finalizing.

Good luck Ed. If I needed another HCCT, I'd be visiting you right now.

Scott, I did sell one of the early Ford HCCTs for $1,500

I do recall seeing two at Hershey this year that were in much better shape that were for sale at $400 and %600.

One on Ebay sold for $225 about 4 months ago.

I don't plan on doing anymore anyway.

I am over priced? Interesting. Here’s 3 unrestored HCCTs that sold recently on eBay. But feel free to start your own thread of the woes of restoring HCCTs and not recouping your investment in the discussion forum and not on the classifieds.

I was not complaining, I don't have to make money, I just have to make happy and enjoy fixing things to have something to do in my old age.

Interestingly, those are all from Canada!

I lived on the Canadian border of New York State and never had good luck buying anything from Canada and getting it across the border.

No problem, HCCTs are like big heavy anvils, worth a decent amount, and fun to have in your shop, but expensive to ship. Buyers will pay more if they are in driving distance it seems.

I would buy this fast but you are 18 hours away from me. I need one near Topeka Kansas.

That HCCT is easier to ship than most people realize!

Loosen the two set screws on the handle and pointer and the shaft pulls out with the flywheel attached.

Then separate the shaft from the flywheel to make a thinner package.

The rear pulley has been removed and that would make a thinner and lighter package.

Then remove the Magneto coil ring to ship in three separate packages.

The disassembly would also provide a much larger area of a likely buyer.
