WTB steel parts kit for a wood pickup bed

Does anyone have or know of a place to buy the necessary steel parts for making a wooden pickup bed? A buddy wants to make one up and use old wood. The vendors seem sell the complete kit only.

Try calling them to see if they will sell you just the hardware. Can't hurt to ask.

You can try calling Snyder's to see if they have just the irons in stock. They do list them on their website for both the earlier and later wood truck beds. I just competed a bed for a 1923 TT. I was considering new irons and reached out to Snyder's, but at the time a few months back, they were out of stock. I decided to repurpose some of the hardware that came with the TT. I had a local machine shop make some new pieces for me and I could not be more pleased.

I worked on this a few months ago, and found a vintage set of bed irons from a fellow member. However in the process I learned that Snyders website is now carrying the irons for both pick up bed styles. Pre ‘26 and ‘26-‘27. I did check and on that day they were in stock. I think they said the irons are supplied from the vendor that makes the complete wood bed kit.

I am thinking about replacing the plywood my best friend used in the TT we purchased from his estate.
I have been able to find the steel bed strips, for holding down the bed floor boards, from several different vendors on line. They will not be exact replacements but they will be better than a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood for the bed floor.
