Jim, that's a tall order without a patent # to see exactly what you're asking about

Scott, all efforts to find the patent number has failed me.

Google usually has them all, but I have had no luck finding one.

Russ Potter has one and is going to send me a photo.

I did find Patent Number 1,536,043 that was file 30 April 1917 by Earl A. Bessom, and granted 28 April 1925 for an updraft carburetor that could be used with the uplink inlet manifold.

Perhaps that carburetor goes with the manifold that required less research to grant.

Earl was living in Indianapolis, Indiana at that time and evidently had been working for Schebler, as he immediately signed the patent over to Schebler.

Wheeler had merged with or bought Schebler several years earlier, so all carburetors were made as Wheeler-Schebler carbs during those years.

I think it's worth trying. I appears to have an acceleration well, a richness adjustment and an idle fuel mixture adjustment. Float level is maintained by a very common period method employed by lots of mfgs

From my own hard earned research , the only updraft Shebler Carb that has a Model T Ford application is the Shebler 1-1/4 updraft that was meant to be one of two carb options for the RAJO C-35 Overhead Valve conversion.

A friend bought this stationary engine stand from an old mill.

The transmission was modified to turn a large sprocket.

The engine ran good in 1971 when it was purchased, but it has stayed in dry storage since then.

The carb may have been sold or lost, but it is gone.

No one has any idea what carb should go on the manifold now.

What size is the flange for the carburetor? That will help rule out some & point to others
A close up of some of the lettering on the manifold would help too

The updraft section has SCHEBLER on it at a slant.

PATENTED 30 APRIL 1920 is written across the bottom of all the inlets.

All the block letters are about 5/8th inch tall.

You can pull up all the patents granted on that date. And just start looking for the one you want. I have done that for various model t aftermarket parts. There may be several hundred on a given day, so this is typically about a 3 beer project, at least for me.
