Need 26 Roadster Trunk Floor
Hi Guys!
I'm working on my 1926 Roadster and trying to find a trunk floor for it - but so far not having a great deal of luck.
I ordered one from Howells Sheetmetal back on February 7th, but haven't heard back from them yet. They do make some great sheet metal but at the moment I'm unsure if they are still making this particular piece.
I know its an incredibly long shot, but would anyone have one that is usable?
Thanks in advance, hopefully y'all aren't laughing too loudly at this weird "ask".

Someone said awhile back that they were more responsive to orders on their eBay store than their online site
I search heir store for the 1926 floor without luck Here is the eBay sore https://www.ebay.com/str/0940fordsheetm ... 3561.l2563

Yes but I missed it by minutes. Unfortunately the purchaser needs the floor as well.RonGlowczewski wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 12:41 amDid you see this listing? https://www.mtfca.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=36763

Anyone live close to Beaumont Texas? I’d pay for your trouble if someone would go there and poke those guys to make them and sell them…

Re: Need 26 Roadster Trunk Floor
So what’s weird is I have ordered parts from their website, including a new roadster bucket back panel and everything came well packaged and pretty quickly. The roadster trunk floor I ordered in early February and he hasn’t charged the card, but I’m still waiting…TRDxB2 wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 6:21 pmNot pretty https://www.bbb.org/us/tx/beaumont/prof ... complaints and there are othersModelTGal wrote: ↑Fri Jun 02, 2023 6:01 pmYeah I’ve tried reaching the there through their store with no luck. If something's in stock, you'll get it quick
If something's not in stock, you'll get it when they make it and they only make it in batches
communication is not great but the parts pretty much are

Re: Need 26 Roadster Trunk Floor
Do you have the old floor or prints for a pattern?
If so, then look for a local tin knocker or stock car builder who can help fab one for you. I picked up the sheet metal and a friend and I made the entire replacement floor for my '22 Coupe. The filler in the picture is where I attached the cross braces under the floor, and I filled in the spot welds before painting.

Re: Need 26 Roadster Trunk Floor
Hi Perry! Unfortunately I do not have a pattern - I foolishly passed on picking one up to use as a pattern at the Lurray swap meet and I’ve been regretting it ever since.
Several folks are going to take measurements and photos but ideally a pattern piece would help immensely.
Soon as I can get my hands on one, I’ll start looking for a sheet metal guy here in Georgia to see if they can knock one out for me.

Btw I was lucky enough to pick up a new “hump” for the trunk floor, now I just need the main piece!

Re: Need 26 Roadster Trunk Floor
Jennifer,
Find an old one for a pattern or get the original drawings and I can knock on one out for you in about 4 hours.

Re: Need 26 Roadster Trunk Floor
Jennifer and Hank,
I can trace the one I took out of my car using masking paper, fold it, and send it to the address of your choice. It is a very good pattern to work from.
