Here are the photos from ebay; UNFORTUNATELY, with that taller than stock fuel filler & cap, it might not work on a stock T. Maybe the seller saw T tanks for $350 in the catalogs and made something he considers “better”. The seller might not have any experience with T’s, or maybe only tried it in one car? I also wonder how aluminum will hold up with the steel brackets?

Aluminum tanks with steel straps have been used in aircraft for 75 years. Having worked with 60 class A aluminum welders for 15 years, I can tell you those are some EXCELLENT quality welds. He/she knows what they are doing. If I had access to those welders again, I would design and build a rectangular tank to fill the entire tank bay in the TT.

Aluminum fuel tanks have been in wide use on OTR trucks for over 50+ years. I've never heard of any problems with them. I wouldn't be afraid of a well-made aluminum tank.

I think it’s a great addition to the community’s options if you’re not a purist about parts.

Yes, it looks nice. However, there's a big part of me that would like to see the lengthwise seam on the top of the tank, (like the original), and not across the bottom. With all the twisting that a T frame goes through...

I think most of the pressure on the tank would be absorbed in the mounting brackets but T get what you’re saying Jerry.
