I am hoping to find an original leatherette seat bottom upholstery for a late 13 (14 year model) touring car. I am also looking for a drivers side front kick panel. My car is original and I want to preserve it not restore it however the kick panel is missing and the seat has a large hole. Anything will be considered, if you have old removed upholstery laying round please contact me, will pay a good price. mail - hurmanator1 at gmail.com

It's up to you but finding original 13-14 seat upholstery will be tough and even harder to find in usable shape- have you considered taking the one you have to an upholstery shop and having them create a new bottom cover and possibly attach the original on top of it? Essentially creating a cover for the stresses and keeping the original top sewn or glued to it as an overlay? Just an idea.

Thanks for your reply, yes I have thought of that and if I can't find anything suitable I will have to go down that path. Unfortunately there is a large hole on one side so was even hoping to get a piece at least to patch it. My car seems to have the plain pleated style seat base upholstery rather than the diamond pattern style that 14 models had, not sure if the seat bases are out of a later model or some earliest cars had it as well. Comments about this welcome.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment on my thread, Bill from downunder

Bill,
Michael Francis from Classtique can make you an upholstery kit with material that appears as distressed leather. It will be brand new, yet look old. Perfect for a survivor. It is 1000 times more durable than 100 + year old upholstery.

Just a thought.

Thought that I would bring this up again. I am looking for original diamond tufted front and rear lower seat upholstery for my unrestored late '13 (1914 model) touring car. My car has later pleated style lower cushions and I would love to make it authentic. I don't care how beat up it is, anything will be considered and I am happy to pay good money. If you are considering new upholstery I am happy to pay towards your new to get your old. Thanks, Bill

Bill, a word of caution. If it is stuffed with horsehair, it is likely going to come to the attention of Quarantine officials. It could end up with expensive treatment or even destruction. You need to do some homework with them to determine a likely course of action.
