The repro's require some "fitting". I purchased some from Lang;'s a few years back (chrome over Brass body) and they were just a bit too large to fit into the switch sleeve. The end that fits into the small inner dish (selects voltage source) was thick & the rounded portion needed some shaping. as well. Now I see that Lang's has a picture of one that looks like an original but explains a fitting issue. Snyder's says out of stock.
The tumblers are designed to prevent the internal wafers from falling through when in an upright position, but will fall out if turned upside down. They arrive with clear tape around the body to secure them until installed. The function of the sleeve id to prevent them from falling out. The sleeve is secured to the switch plate. The tumbler spins inside the sleeve but is held in place by the handle and small inner disk.
Not sure if original keys will fit properly (too thin). I have made them work with effort

One other consideration is if the existing tumbler is for a CLUM switch. Some have their own tumbler design that fits into the inner ring (which can be modified to fit the repro.
The top is a the more common tumbler, bottom is the CLUM

The suppliers are all out and they don't have a date for new ones yet.
