My 24 Touring saw heavy farm use during the Great Depression and WW2 on a Texas cotton farm and my plan is to make a battery box for my T out of materials they might've had laying around. I figure license plates would've been cheap and abundant. I'm making a box out of a thick wood base and metal (license plate) sides and a wood lid.
I'm looking for Pre-War Texas or Oklahoma license plates that are wearing very little paint or no paint at all and are in pretty bad shape.
I've looked on eBay and I think people have lost their minds on what they think things are worth.
I'm looking for around 5 or 6 of them...or more if you have them.
Thanks,
Don

Don those pre war TEXAS plates are worth some money, so I doubt you’ll get any cheap. You’d really be surprised at what they’re worth. Original paint even more

That’s unfortunate if it’s true.
That American Picker show has made everyone crazy.
Maybe that fact that I’m looking for really beat up ones will mitigate the madness somewhat.
