Sold pending payment, Complete set of Buffalo Disc Wheels
Posted: Wed Dec 06, 2023 7:10 pm
I have a set of Buffalo Disc Wheels for sale. I was going to use these on my speedster project I did a couple years ago. I have a set of Disteel wheels on the car at this time and they have been the wheels I have always had and I like them. So, I probably will never get around to mounting these, Buffalos. The Buffalo Disc wheel is probably one of the rarest of the disc wheels. Since these were sold to me to put on the speedster project. I checked with the previous owner to make sure he did not want first option to buy them back. He did not need them, so they are here for sale. or I would trade for an original Model T era camping trailer. Something similar to an Auto-Kamp. I only want an original either restored or unrestored. I will trade up or down in value depending on the trade offered.
This is what's included.
1. 4 discs
2. 4 locking rings
3. 2 excellent front hubs with races. (no bearings)
4. 2 excellent rear hubs with very nice keyways
5. 4 Buffalo hubcaps (will need replated to be show quality, or buff to remove remaining plating to reveal brass) There are 3 extra beat-up hubcaps for spares. There is also a set of 4 custom brass hubcaps with the Buffalo logo. They were custom made by the previous owner because they did not have enough original hubcaps. I finally found two more original hubcaps to make a set of four useable hubcaps. There are also 4 old TT truck hubcaps to use as thread protectors till a person installs the Buffalo hubcaps. TT hubcaps are the same size.
6. 1 set of original flange lug nuts and 1 set of original dome lug nuts (enough for 1 wheel). A person will need to buy more flange nuts and dome nuts. They are standard 7/16 fine thread. Lots of places to find the lug nuts. I have the wheels held together with brass dome nuts till steel lug nuts are sourced to replace them. The brass nuts "should not be used" to drive with. they are just for mockup.
7. They have 4 new tires, 4 new tubes, and 4 new flaps installed. Size is 30 x 3-1/2 inch clincher. The front tires are straight rib and the rear tires are T-Driver oversize. The rear tires are aprox 1 inch taller than the front. I chose the tire combo to give more of a dirt track look. The wheels can be bought with or without the new tires, tubes, and flaps. Ill list the price both ways. The two straight rib tires have already started to check crack even though they are only about 2 to three years old. The other two tires still look new with no check cracking.
8. The tires are mounted on 4 excellent rims. They looked almost new. with no sharp edges at all.
9 And last, I have included a new rim and spare tire carrier to use to create a spare tire and carrier with. It will require welding and fab work to make the spare and carrier, the rim and carrier are a good start.
10. One of the wheels has a red locking ring and hub ring. I painted the red to see how they would look red and black as that is one of the color options that was offered by Buffalo Wheel. It is just a thin red Krylon test.
This is a very, very, good set of very rare wheels. The condition is extremely good.
I will post a link to a previous thread about these wheels I posted when I was building the speedster project. There are more photos and info in the link.

I can deliver these to Chickasha in March or will work with the buyer if they arrange shipping.
Ill take 3800.00 for everything or 3200.00 without tires, tubes, and flaps. Or I'll trade for a T era camping trailer as mentioned above.
