Wanted: a good pan for my 1926 pickup shipped to Dallas, Texas.
I suspected the one I had was bad and looked for a replacement at Chickasha, but never saw a late pan for sale there.

My front casting has been cut for some reason. I'm willing to replace the casting on the pan if I have to, but would prefer an entire pan.

Jason,
I have two I’d sell. I see you already have the lower inspection cover, bolts and ‘horseshoe’ nuts. The darker one is in better shape although both need a repro wishbone ball bracket. I’d hate to have to pack one for shipment and you should hate to have to pay the exhorbitant freight prices. You Dallas people come down to New Braunfels all the time and we have no reason to go to Dallas. I’d sell your choice for $75 or, for $85, I’ll throw in a free BBQ dinner 😁

Just for my general knowledge, why would you weld this? Why not leave it alone? There's a clamp that goes of the top of this. What's the worse that can happen by leaving it alone? Thanks

That's most likely what happened to the snout in the first place - attempt to remove that bushing which can be a real buggar !

I have 3 four dip pans one has some weld repair the others look to be in good condition will have to clean and inspect them to see, if your interested. I'm in southern Mo. If your interested and not in a hurry I {might} be able to arrange l;ocal pickup in the Dallas area. Thanks

I've found a couple 4-dippers locally, all of which need about the same work mine needs.
And I've had a couple offers to help weld up the nose.
But, I've also gotten a better look at the cast portion of the late 3-dipper pans, and picked up a messed up pan with a good casting. Current plan is to knock out the rivets and replace the casting.

Don't underestimate the effort to knock out the rivets and "melt away" the existing braze, re-rivet and re-braze the replacement part. I'd weld up the existing pan before I would attempt the repair you're planning. If you're oppose to welding, JB Weld the crank bushing in and leave the split alone.

I checked out the three pans I have and have one that's pretty nice. I can send pictures if interested. I can also have it brought to Dallas for local pickup the end of June or the first of July. $ 100.00 without inspection cover
