I have a set of unrestored removable front doors that are for a late 1911 and/or 1912 model year touring car which I've been told are for a Hayes built body. They are in very good condition, as can be seen by the photos. You can still see the original paint brush strokes when the light is right. I wish that the Baudette front doors that I restored for our car would have been in half as good condition as these!

They are missing the door mechanism and two of the eyelets are broken on one hinge half. You may be able to get the door mechanical pieces from Ray Wells shop. You would need to check with them.

Since the doors are missing the mechanical pieces, they are priced at $500. I can deliver them for free to Chickasha on Friday 3/15, or will ship for actual shipping cost. No returns.

I believe they are for a 1911. I have seen lots of these on 1911’s but never on a 1912. Possibly on a very early 1912.

Yes, probably late 1911 but I thought that the doors were added for the 1912 model year.

The step-side body was used into about January 1912, when the smooth side body was introduced.

I believe the "dip" at the front is for a 2 piece dash, that would be early 1912s. Those "front doors" that are flat along the whole top surface are for single piece dash boards, later and most of 1912 production.

The doors may be slightly different for some bodies that were made by different companies then.

I can bring these front doors with me to Chickasha on Friday, if anyone wants to look at them and make an offer for them. They are too nice to be hung on my garage wall, but that's where they will end up if I don't find a buyer for them.
