Want to see if anyone has an original Martin-Parry Express Body spare tire carrier. This mounts on the side of the body behind the front drivers door.

Might help to add a picture of what it looks like.

Here is a picture of the 1926 Express body with the spare tire carrier. I'm not sure how it mounts. There is a 2 x 4 sticking out the side of the body. I'm assuming that has something to do with it.

This isn't going to help much, but I had a couple of those carriers and the Martin and Perry rack has the letters M P approx. 2 inch tall stamped in the plate in the center that holds the 3 arms that go out to hold the rim and tire. The letters are stamped from the back side so they protrude on the out side surface of that plate.

I'm sure this is not the part you are looking for, I have no idea what this mount is supposed to go with, but I was planning on using it on my WWI ambulance, although the pics just show a spare tire strapped to the side of the ambulance. This one fits perfectly flat agains my wood uprights, so don't know what car it actually would mount on that was perfectly flat at the mount.
Maybe some food for thought for you?

I believe that’s a 26-27 rear tire mount. Good idea though, looks like it belongs there.

From a distance it does look similar to a 26/27 roadster spare tire carrier. Although I'm not sure what it looks like, I know it was made by Martin-Parry with their logo stamped on it. It was not fastened to the side of the body panel according to the MP website. Looks to me it had to be fastened to that 2 x 4, I mentioned, sticking out from under the body about 4". Anyone have pictures of an original?
