Hello. I need a windshield frame and associated hardware for my 1910 Model T Touring. Does anyone have one for sale? Thanks.

Many of the original frames that I’ve come across have cracks and dents, I opted to go with a new frame from Speedway motors. You have to make a few modifications to the inserts that the hinge bolts mount to but it’s totally worth it. Makes a very nice windshield.

Thanks for the suggestions. I had looked at the Speedway frame and am considering that. What about the windshield support arms that go to the front of the frame? Are they available anywhere?

Thanks.

Chafin's sells the support arms and Dan Mari makes a nice reproduction. The ends are different on the two; talk to either Dan or Dave at Chafin's to figure out which you need.

You can get the factory drawings for them for $7 from the Henry Ford online. All you need is brass tubing and the end pieces which any machinists could make for you.

How does one do a search for a build record for a 1912 Model T at the Benson Archives? I want to search for engine 86076. Got on the site and got overwhelmed.

Gregory,
The digital collection is only things that have been pulled by previous people who have had items searched through by the staff at THF. For example when I was researching drawings for my delivery car build, I paid the staff $30 per drawing to pull it out and send me a copy. After drawings are pulled they get digitized and placed on their website. So in your case you will need to contact Jim Orr at THF and talk with him about getting what you need. They might find what you want and might not.
