WTB: Top Saddle Support Arms, (L Irons), Touring.

Post by dllr28bl » Tue Jun 04, 2019 8:46 pm

Want to buy set of good, original top saddle support arms for a 1913 touring car. These are the “L” shaped irons that support the top bows when the top is down. I believe they were the same through 1922.

Thank you,
Dan Woolf

Somebody refresh my memory: There was two lengths; one for runabouts and one for touring. What is the touring length? I have s set of L arms I’d let go but need the length. Know they’re 1/2” round....
I don’t know why I turned out this way. My parents were decent people.

There seems to be some slight variation, but basically touring irons are about 8-1/2" when measured across its longest dimension from the threads to the bottom of the bend. Roadster irons are about 7". I'm still looking for a shorter roadster set, myself.

Dan/Walter,
I have one of each I’d sell for the price Lang’s advertises. They’re original and in excellent shape. The longer one is 8 1/2” from top of threads to center of bend. The other is 1” less. Both are 1/2” in diameter. gwhouse73(one)(at)gmail.com

Hi George,

Thank you for the offer. I only just saw this after committing to buy the set that Bob listed. I'd not likely have bought a single anyway since I was searching for a matched pair as there seems to be some variation among individual pieces. Thanks anyway though for thinking of me.

Bob and George,

I just saw your responses. I actually bought a pair of irons last week from another Forum member, so I had not looked at my ad for several days.

Thanks!
Dan
