The OF and RF are two distinctly different carbs. The RF was Stromberg's improved version of the OF and looked very little like an OF. It's all aluminum and has a float system similar to a Model A carb. Unfortunately the brass idle jet seems to weld itself to the aluminum body and very few are removable without somewhat destroying the jet. I've done maybe 8-10 of these carbs and they run every bit as good or even better compared to the OF and without and "runny-nose syndrome" of the OF. Stan Howe wouldn't touch these unless you could prove that the idle jet could be removed. I found a NOS Stromberg RF at Hershey and the jet came out easily so I have a perfect one for reproduction.

Bruce, can you please post a photo of your RF. I'd like to know what to be looking for.

Thanks Bruce. It is quite distinct. I'll be keeping an eye out for one.
