Looking for a complete 1915 Roadster or Touring front door or a wood kit for one. I have a near perfect original painted door skin but all of the wood, hinges, and latch was removed for some reason. I can source the hinges and latch but need a wood kit or patterns at a minimum. Please PM on this site or call me if you already have my number. Thanks, Mike

This might be old news to you, Ford Wood in Utah still makes and sells Model T wood kits and the door kits are sold separately from the rest of the body.

Pick your body style, then year, and misc. wood kits. The "n" kits have no fasteners, the "F" kits include fasteners. They seem like good people and a quick phone call will give you an idea of current lead times.

When I restored my 1915 tourer I wanted to preserve the original pie crust edge and the return fold the door skins. So when rewording them, I made the tenon joints on the timbers a slide fit. When they were put in the skins, wooden wedges drove the timbers in behind the return fold without disturbing any of the fold or the piecrust edges of the door skin. All this was assembled with PVA glue, and allowed to cure. I have an idea that I checked the door curvature against the body openings, and twisted them to suit before the glue set.
The plans given show the dimensions. My experience gives you the how if it is of any interest.

Eric, have you actually installed one of the kits you are recommending from this company?
