I found one in Australia and had it shipped to the US. All in all it was not cheap but the seller threw in a RHD lower frame support. Can't remember the exact cost but the figure runs in my mind at $700.

Thanks for responding. Did the $700 include shipping. The cost of shipping was my concern. How long ago did you have it shipped and can you remember the shipping cost?

Be sure to get the pedals, they are not the same as lefthand drive cars. Think there might be some differences with the pedal shafts too.

there a guy ? ford T services in the uk . and tuckets in the uk . i did it to two car of mine you need the bracket at the end of the steering columm you need to swap the rods on the steering columm ,the track rod arim at the front needs to be changed you can turn up side down an fabricace the arim, you need a lever and arch that fixed to the chassie and , turn the fire wall . i got parts in canada and the uk to do this swap over , reach out to the ford model t clubs.

The T is a 1913 Canadian touring that has the original non starter right hand drive hogshead. I assume that the pedals would be the same for a starter or non starter hogshead, true?
As an aside, I have a 1949 F-1 that I have owned for 48 years.

The brake and reverse should be but not sure about the low pedal being the same between starter and nonstarter cars but would imagine they would be. Would not have had to deal with the bendix cover. I did work on a car that owner installed righthand drive with starter. He had bought the car as a need some assembly basket case.

Thanks for posting. I am struggling to understand the need for additional parts. The car needing a starter belongs to a good friend and is originally and currently a right hand drive 1913 T. Is it a case that the starter needs to occupy the same space for portions of the controls on a right hand drive T or were you thinking that we are converting a left hand drive T to a right hand drive T?

If you have a RHD non starter hogshead and pedals already fitted, all you need is a RHD bare hogshead into which your existing pedals can be installed. You will need to notch the magneto field core to clear the bendix drive on the starter.
Shipping a bare cover would be much simpler, or the donor cover pedals could be removed and packed within the cover.
I can supply a cover if you wish.

Thanks for the info and the offer. I hear horror stories of shipping from Australia given the crazy current tariff situation. Do you have any current experience? In the past my friend with the right hand drive T supplied a box of new jugs to Australia for 2 cylinder Maxwells. I think 8 cars worth.

Shipping is a bit crazy since the beautiful tariffs were introduced. I understand that Auspost will now accept parcels for posting if sent as a gift and of less than $800 value. The only drawback may be the 20kg weight limit. I can weigh a cover to work that out. That will allow me to get a postage quote. The cover itself is a $50 item. Let me know if you want me to explore further.

Any suggestions for other parts that might be needed would be because we didn't know what was going on, so would just be natural response to someone that needed a righthand drive hogs head. But thanks for the update.
