I would want to know the size of the rollers before buying.

Even IF the rollers had .010 wear, still far superior to the solid roller bearings. Of course these do not have that kind of wear and the price is very reasonable.

Mark maybe you should make a official announcement that they are usable with up to .010 wear I know that but alot of guys if they are over .004 guys won't touch them I have boxes of them guys just won't buy because of that

I've rebuilt many rear axle assemblies & have found the best sleeves available are a smidge larger than stock Ford therefore using a near perfect bearing at .498 - .499, install too tight for my liking - I go through mine to locate a .495 - .496 to run in the repro sleeves. I've never in 40+ years located a .500 roller !

I talked to a bearing senior project engineer who had a lot of experience with these type of roller bearings, called wound roller bearings. About 8 years ago, he recommended at least .005 inch of radial clearance at the minimum. The Chief Engineer at the time of the last production (1989) of wound roller bearings agreed. The project engineer passed about 5 years ago. The chief engineer winters in Florida and returns to Ohio in the summer.
Solid roller bearings have given good service at 8,000 miles and still going. which were installed properly. However, there seems to be an adequate number of useable wound roller bearings at this time.

Like Steve stated. New sleeves. New axles. No problem. Cleaned and properly installed. They will outlive us all. To each his own.

They're not. (They're just better than the solid rollers...)
Even more important than size, is taper. I won't use rollers tapered more than .001/.002.
