TW Timer brush order--LAST CALL!

Hey all TW Timer lovers...by request I've been asked about any "new runs" for the TW timer. I hadn't planned to til 2027 but I reckon maybe I better. So I will take EMAIL THROUGH THE FORUM requests until Feb. 15, I strongly suggest you PLAN YEARS AHEAD.

Price from 2025 started at $19 ea. for rectangular brush, $27 for the round. You'd think it would be the other way around but it aint. And of course the good old ride from the shop to me and then me to you, figure at least $15 per order, as always if I can get a better ship price I'll refund the difference. As always, prices drop a little the bigger the order. BTW, the above stated prices are for a
MINIMUM ORDER to the shop, of 16 of each style. So far it's not been a problem far exceeding the base amount, usually ending up around $20 per unit.

Payment I prefer PayPal of course FRIENDS AND FAMILY link only, as I don't think I'll get 1099'd for that option. I hope not since last year's order did exceed $890 and I sure hate to have to pay tax on a product that I literally make NO profit on, in fact I usually end up eating around $12 in shipping from the shop to me anyway. Check or M.O. is okay too just the same.

Again, EMAIL FROM FORUM on my profile, giving your style, quantity, shipping address, email address and phone number in case I really need to talk to you. As in the past follow up emails will come from my other email address as it's more user friendly for sending out group mails.

Thanks, and start taking inventory!

You will not get a 1099-K for monies received via PayPal's Friends & Family option, or equivalent in other 3rd party orgs.
3rd party organizations are like eBay is now. Basically they provided a "consignment service". They act as a seller on your behalf, collect the money, deduct their commission, collect & pay the State sales tax & give you whats left. Facebook Marketplace and other Meta platforms that process payments for goods or services are considered third-party payment processors/settlement organizations only if they collect the money from the buyer & process it like eBay & give you whats left. If you settle with the buyer privately then there is no record of that payment. The MTFCA Forum is not a 3rd party organization, it just places ads like a newspaper used to do.

The current tax law for filing a Federal 2025 tax return requires 3rd party settlement organizations to issue a 1099K to sellers who exceed $20,000 AND 200+ transactions in that tax year. Back in 2021 Biden changed that threshold to $600 & since then is been bounced up little by little. These organization need you Social Security number or Employer Identification Number (EIN if a business) to issue the 1099K. Having said that, you need to also be aware of your State filing thresholds. Illinois for example is set at $1,000

The TW timer is a recent (this century?) version of a carbon brush T timer, as seen here: https://www.twcomponents.com/

It is my understanding that they went out of production, but various folks are still making the brushes available, the brushes being the only real consumable in the timer.

Keep crankin',
Eric

Yep, made/designed by the late Tony Wiltshire...hence the name of "TW" timer, and much later as I learnt in collaboration with another fella, of whose name I have forgotten naturally! But I think it's the greatest operating timer out there, everybody has their "pet" of course. But to repeat what I've said many times here, now I have over 20K miles on the timer itself, and easily get 4K+ on the brush, if I wanted to push it I'm sure I could go 5K or more. Never misses a beat is the thing. Yes, oil will change things but I keep my cam seal under watchful eye with the modern seal.

What does the inside look like?

I don't know what TW represents.

Here's a pic of mine on the '13 with iver 17K miles on it at the time...it now has over 20K miles and looks the same. Just needs cleaned every oil change which in this car's case seems to only be needed about every 900 miles and even then the oil still isn't very dark. I did clean out the carbon dust first.

It's the initials of the original maker of it, Tony Wiltshire. I believe he, and a colleague "invented" this wonderful timer together. I forgot the other guys name (sorry fella!). Tony has since passed away (RIP), the timer isn't manufactured anymore, but I've played around with an ordinary stock roller timer with the round brush for 500 miles on my other T and so far, so good. Also have a friend running the same on his '13, seems no problems, but admittedly he doesn't drive it even 500 miles a year. I do have a sheet of Micarta in which to make new "inner rings" if necessary should anyone run a stock roller timer with less than excellent results as I've been getting on mine. I get a good 4K miles on a brush btw, could really get more, maybe this year I'll "push the limit" some more ha ha.

Bumping again, but also an update. So far I barely have enough round brush interests to do a run of 16 for that price break, I'll actually end up keeping a couple in stock JTS, but long afterward that price will go up.

Also, ATM I only have 2 of the necessary 12 rectangular brushes ordered, again I will "self-stock" some, but it's quite an expensive commitment, and price down the road won't be as conservative. Check your stock, plan ahead, cause I doubt I'll do this again. Cutoff date is coming fast, February 15!

As mentioned, email me through my profile on here. Then I'll get back to you with exact details. Thanks.

Just the usual bump ha ha...time's running out...come 2/15 I'll start the process with the shop and likely any other "orders" will not be possible. Also, the 2 "rectangular" requests turned out to be for round brushes with the sale of a timer for that person. So far there will be NO rectangular brushes produced at this time. Possibly ever. So one week to go to take inventory and "predict" your future usage! I can't afford to "front" over $400 for 16 rectangular brushes, I really don't need any myself LOL. Contact me via email through my profile only. Thanks.

I will Dan, but pls. keep in mind as of this posting I do not have enough to meet a minimum for manufacturing. They require 16 pieces.

Gonna consider this another "bump up" to stir up some excitement for the rectangular brush, even tho I said last year may be the last run for two years, the way things are going THIS year may be the last FOR GOOD. So fellas, take inventory and get out your crystal ball to determine how far in advance you'll need product!
