Scott and others. Notice the detail where the small carriage bolts are offset. This is to prevent the board from splitting. This detail is also often seen on T truck and hack bodies made back in the day, especially in flooring construction. A note to builders of new bodies!

You know, Tim, I had seen that too, but am wondering if that also plays any part in keeping the thing "square". If they were all in a line, I'm pretty sure that thing could become a parallelogram pretty easily.

That's a test of geometric reasoning similar to the old ASVAB test I took in High School!
