WTB: Overhead valve head
Looking to see if someone has an overhead valve Model T head and rockers they want to part with. Not looking to spend a fortune, and I don't expect a bolt on and run head because of that.
So what have you?

Re: WTB: Overhead valve head
Looking for anything BUT a Chevy head.
I have a Chevy head conversion I'm willing to part with if I can step up to a true bolt on head like a Fronty or Rajo.
Looking to actually put this into service and use it as intended.

Of the many heads available, there were several performance levels... do you have a preference? 1 or 2 intake ports? Cross flow? I don’t imagine you are hoping for overhead cams or 16 valves...? I always had my ear to the ground for an 8 valve Roof... never had one turn up tho. Good luck with your search!

Re: WTB: Overhead valve head
Not sure if Seth sold his Rajo 4 valve, but it was a nice running head setup. I see if I can still find his contact info if you may be interested in a 4 valve.

Re: WTB: Overhead valve head
Kevin, Just wanting to see what pops up that I may be able to afford. So no preference really. I'm just shaking the trees and looking for a needle in a haystack.
Donnie, Seth's head was great, hoping to find one cheaper. I can't swing his price even thought it really is a good deal.

Re: WTB: Overhead valve head
Chad, I thought you may have seen Seth's head for sale, just thought I would remind you.
I think it will be hard to find something cheaper. Even if you can find a 1000 to 1500 dollar head, more than likely it will cost another 1000 or more to have a running head. I have close to 4000 dollars in my Rajo 4 valve setup, and it was a nice head to start with.
Anything less than a 1000 dollars is probably going to require so much repair and machine work, you could buy a new head from Chaffins cheaper.
I wish you good luck in finding something. Who knows, it is almost Christmas. Good things come to good boys, You have been good..????? haven't you.

Re: WTB: Overhead valve head
Donnie,
I totally agree with what your saying and that is my outlook and feelings on it also.
I also know that some of these have been found "on the cheap" relatively speaking. All I need is someone with one of those, willing to help a fellow enthusiast and realize he doesn't need to make a home run sale on it. Get it off the shelf and into someone that will actually use it.
I already figure I'm going to have to do it via Johnny Cash style to pull this off on my budget (one piece at a time).
