7 Rivet Engine Pan

Post by ThreePedalTapDancer » Fri Jan 24, 2020 7:47 pm

Original 1912 or earlier 7 rivet engine pan, with the reinforcing plate under the seven arm rivets. Has been welded and repaired in the inner corners. Lots of sloppy extra brazing evident around the arms, nose and various places, obviously very old reinforcing by previous owner. It has a brazed patch on the bottom of the hump, also done a very long time ago. It is still a solid pan, no cancer or rust out evident. Just needs to have some of the welds and brazing cleaned up for appearance. Very hard to find pan. Can provide more detailed pictures if needed. Pick up required or arrange your own shipping. 500.00

Interesting pan and the transition details. The front casting looks like the later narrow nose pans without the front casting going completely around the hole. Might be a really late 12 early 13 and or last of the 7 rivet arms being used up. Interesting

My 7 rivet has the plates behind the ears and the casting that goes completely around the hole.
