I just now got a third email as shown below. I tried to contact the admins by way of the "Contact us" button above a couple of hours ago and my own message came back to me. Admins: you've got something screwy going on. The most recent one came through with the name of a known forum member. Two examples below:
Hello Walter Higgins,
An individual by the name of "Charles J Horner" with an email address of
c@msn.com and an IP address of "63.227.45.43" on "Mon May 11,
2020 4:09 pm" sent the following message:
To Whom It May Concern, I have not been on the forum for quite some time.
I have forgotten my Username and Password that I used when I first
registered. Can you provide me with that information. Thank you. Charles
J Horner

Hello Walter Higgins,
An individual by the name of "mtntee20" with an email address of
"sb@centurylink.net" and an IP address of "174.29.202.107" on
"Mon May 11, 2020 7:28 pm" sent the following message:
Hello,
I have tried to search in 2018 and prior forums. Every time I make and
attempt, I receive an Internal Server Error message. In fact, I get the
same message when I click on ANY of the icons in the "toolbox" at the top
of the forum.
I believe using the search function in the 2019-2020 forums will not access
the prior forums.
Please inform me of how to access the knowledge stored in the older forums.
It will be a real shame to lose all of that information.
Thank You
Terry Miller

Re: Trash emails.
Maybe Jeff or Chris will see this post.
First unless the sender is logged in, they can't send email or PM thru the forums. Next there is too much info in the two samples. In the mean time I would NOT reply to any message unless it address to you and came from this site, which I do not think they did. I will send you a sample email that will show what the proper one would look like.
I just logged out to see and what I found is there is no contact button when viewing the site when not logged in. If you placed an ad(s) with your contact info in it, go back and remove that info. Showing a photo of your contact info seems to be ok the bots don't see it, but not typed as part of the ad. Unless you personally know these people, it would not make sense for them to contact you with these issues anyway, it would be like pulling wild card out of a deck. Charles J Horner, may be a member of the club, but I think any email fro him would be his user name and I don't find that name when I checked. Don't know about the second one. Have you run your security program lately, if not you may want to.

Re: Trash emails.
I'm sure the admins will do a fine job resolving it.

Re: Trash emails.
Walter actually figured it out himself.
Me or Jeff accidentally promoted him to an Admin!
He's back to normal now.
