Icons don't change color to indicate topics that I have already read. All postings remain red. I am signed in What am I doing wrong?

They do if you click refresh or click on the link at the top of the page to get back to the topic list. You are probably hitting the back arrow on your browser. That takes you back one screen but does NOT refresh the page. 2 fixes

Hit refresh after going back or use the next topic button and then go back to the index. This is a browser issue on your end.

Here’s what they look look like when working. The middle one has been read.

Jeff, Thanks for the quick reply. You are right, if I click on "reload this page" the icons that I have read change color. A bit cumbersum but I assume if I just do this before I leave the forum each time the icons will get updated or do I have to do it each time I leave a particular topic?

When the list is updated is up to you. The next time you visit the forum the list would be updated. It’s the Same for new topics. If you stare at the page of topics for a day, you’d never see new topics. You have to refresh your browser to see new anything.

I've never understood why folks don't refresh the main page and then "right click" the topics that interest them and "open in a new tab". Do the whole page and then read the tabs and close them as you're done reading them. Simple...........at least to me and it applies to all the different browsers I've used. It will even work pretty well with "dialup".
