Kingston Carb adjustment

I'm trying to set this Kingston Carb, however, it wants to idle at a fast speed. I've cleaned it out and replaced the original needle/seat with the new ball bearing style. It wouldn't adjust right. I recently went back to the original needle/seat and it still idles fast. When I first started, I set spray needle at 1 1/2 turns, car started. I lowered the throttle to idle with spark fully retarded. I then adjusted the spray needle from lean to rich until I felt it was smooth running, but fast. I tried adjusting the throttle adjusting screw on top, still running fast with the lever bottomed out on post. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, any help would greatly be appreciated. I normally run a Simmons Super Power but found a crack in the casting that started to leak. Trying to get Kingston running for 4th parade.
Thanks,
Matt

Sounds like you may have a vacuum leak somewhere, check the carb flange and the intake manifold seals at the cylinder head.

BTW, you can post technical questions like this in the "general discussion" section. The forum support section is intended for folks requesting help with the operation of the forum itself, like posting pictures or editing of posts.

Thanks Mark, I've moved it to the general forum. The way it's worded I thought this was the forum for technical help with the car and he General was for other stuff unrelated to Model t's. Thanks again.
