Classifieds are down!

Post by Thorlick » Fri May 31, 2019 10:48 pm

The Classified Vehicles list seems to be broken. While you can still respond to old listings the section seems to have lost it's link to allow new postings.

The most recent new posting was about May 9. I want to post a new for sale and cannot. I have noticed that some folks have posted cars for sale in other lists. Is the Webmaster aware that hte Classified Vehicles list is broken.

Seeing Rob Heyen's reproduction of the Special Racer I have been moved to finish up my speedster and sell it at The Swap meet in Auburn, CA. on Sunday. I wanted to give MTFCA folks a chance to grab it first if any are interested, so please forgive me posting a "for sale" here. I
guess you can consider this a "what I did today".

I will try and fire it up tomorrow. It has an American Bosch DU4 cross drive mag freshly rebuilt.

Contact me by sending a PM.

That is a bump, the last new ad posted was May 29th.

The Cars for sale section is for members only to place a free ad. Everyone else there is a $20 cost. Parts for sale are still free. Contact Jeff or Chris for more information.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

Ah, Thank you Mark. I will do as you have suggested.

Please consider the above a posting on my speedster progress. I will not be selling it here until I have squared with the powers that be. I also apologize for erring. I was not aware of the arrangement. I was curious that my profile page photos had been taken down. Have there been changes in policy in my absence or is this long standing rules?

Also is there a new policy barring MTFCA non-members from posting?

Humbly, TH

Except for the cars for sale section, anyone can start a posting and reply. The cars for sale section only; you ether have to be a member or ask to place an ad, but anyone can reply in that section, member or not.

I feel $20 is a fair deal to sell a T with the exposure you get here.
For $40, join MTFCA or MTFCI and sell all you want ! ;)

I was wrong about anyone posting a reply in the cars for sale/wanted section. You posting a reply as a non member must be approved by the administrator, but you can send a PM or email to the seller or buyer.
