You dont need to be a member to sign in. It would be nice to know who is online. Is the problem the sign up process? It is great to see all the interest.

My guess is, not everyone logs in just to read the forums. Some have to log in each time and others stay logged in. If you look at the overall few names of people that take time to reply that is easy to see.
