Wierd login problems - Firefox?
I tried to respond to a topic. Got the login page. Tried to log in. No luck. Tried logging in using the 'login' at the upper right corner and it sent me to the 2019 formum home page but I am still not logged in. Went to the 2018 forum, then from there logged into the 2019 forum and I am able to post this topic, but I still do not show that I am logged in and I still cannot reply to anything. What is going on?

Re: Wierd login problems - Firefox?
I had problems logging in.
Eventually Chris sent me this link and it worked.
Logging still fails thru the MTFCA Forum page, the link below is the only that worked for me both on the iPhone and Windows laptop.

The old site (for 2018 and earlier columns) will not get you to the 2019 'log in'. Tony is correct - You need to use the new link. It is copied below in it's entirety.

Re: Wierd login problems - Firefox?
Tony's login worked.
I was not trying to use the 2018 login, but I went to the 2018 forum. Then selected the 2019 forum, that took me to a page with this on it-
This link will take you to new forum software.
YOU WILL NEED TO RE-REGISTER ON THE NEW SITE.
Your old user name and password will not work there.
You may have to use a different user name if someone has used it already.
Click here to go to register on the NEW FORUM Register
Click here to go to LOGIN to the NEW FORUM Login if already Registered
Click here to go to VIEW the single 2019 FORUM 2019 Forum
Click here to go to VIEW ALL the NEW FORUMS ALL Forums
You should save these links in place of any old links you have to make sure you have the correct ones.
I used the 'New Forum Login' and was able to log into the 2019 forum.

Re: Wierd login problems - Firefox?
Foxfire will sometimes not allow you to log into an unsecured site. Check to see if the prefix is http or https. The https is secure and the http is not. You can just go up to the URL address at the top and change to or add https:// before the www. This goes for other web sites besides the MTFCA site.

I also primarily use FireFox. A couple of things I do when going on the computer is to first, 'open'/activate my anti-virus/malware application. This is before selecting FireFox as my internet connection. When FireFox is connected, there will also be a FireFox icon appearing in your 'shortcut bar'.... If you 'right click' on that icon, another menu will appear - Left click on "New private window". It will explain the protections it will do, while being open to the address you choose. (I will also go back and 'hoover' on that FireFox icon, then 'close out' the unsecured tab/window.) FireFox will automatically delete the 'cookies' when you close out from the secured window/tab.
Hope this helps.

What is "right click"?
Just kidding.
No trouble getting on so far except having to log in every time, but I don't think that's a browser problem as it happens with both Firefox and Safari.

Being logged out every time is something that can be 'fixed'. There is a 'timer' that can be changed.... Found out it may be set for as little as "3 seconds'! Contact Chris or Jeff, and explain what you're experiencing. It doesn't need to be that way to log in every time. Even we old dogs learn things. (FWIW Dept.)

Message sent, Marv. But with Chris off to Asia and Jeff up to his hips in more important alligators, it will be awhile before it gets fixed.

Re: Wierd login problems - Firefox?
I'm an avid Firefox user....love it. BUT..... I've just had a devil of a time trying to log on using it.
So I just switched over to MS Edge and went straight through the process without problems.
So yes, for some of us, there is a problem logging on using Firefox browser.

Re: Wierd login problems - Firefox?
I'm able to log in using Firefox easily now.
I did a little research, took some advice, cleared the browser's cache, cookies etc and its all good now.

I used that link, but it was good only for a few hours. Now it seems that even though I didn't change anything, I was able to log in from the main index page and I am staying logged in. Strange things happen....
