Rich,
I have seen two more photos of this lunch wagon. I do not remember when.
Thanks for the photo.

Re: Old Photo - T lunch vendor
We had this one, and at least one more photo of the same car and girls, on this forum some time ago. I just looked quickly through some of the gallery, and did not find either photo, so it was most likely more than a year and a half ago. I tried moving almost anything that should be in the gallery over to it for some time after the gallery was started, so if it was shared during that time, it should have been there. There was some interesting discussion of the photos. I wish I could find it.

Poor practice of "social distancing" going on there. This is an outrage !
More people are doing it today than ever before !

I remember discussion of the driver's door and whether the license plate was Canadian. Following the Shorpy link doesn't show me any info on place or date.

Re: Old Photo - T lunch vendor
Our photographer was busy that day. I probably have them too Wayne. Find 'em? Hah! Good luck.
One photo of that scene makes a young lady look as tho she only has one leg since she wiggled.
BEST of the 2 or 3 Rich! Did shroppy have them back then?
I'm glad you posted that!
Dirty T with Diddle Diddle Dumpling cowl lamps. One shoe off and one shoe on.
I've studied their wares and get lost.
I had a cool cup of coffee, during lunch while baling hay, I was on the rack and it was the best cup I ever had.

Everybody sees something different in that photo. What caught my eye was the really nice installation on the top. Do you suppose that's the original Ford factory top, or was it installed by a private shop later ?

Re: Old Photo - T lunch vendor
The previous photo shows a 1918 Washington DC license plate on the passenger side and a Virginia license plate on the driver side. The photo is cut off so the two digit year below VA does not appear.

Re: Old Photo - T lunch vendor
An interesting and fun photograph. An 1917 or 1918 model year Modelt T. This style came out in Mid 1916 as a 1917 T. From the use that this T has had, it is most likely a 1917 Model year. It would be interesting who in the photo is the proprietor of this food car. There is not a box for holding the food or a place to heat the coffee pot. I have an old coffee pot that type and size, but my T is a 1910. There seems to be a center door send in the background. The clothes of the people is very typical of 1918. Probably taken in the fall, perhaps late October.

Re: Old Photo - T lunch vendor
it looks like a government building in the background. Has anyone suggested a location in DC?

Re: Old Photo - T lunch vendor
Don't forget the Firestone 5 lug demountables (drool drool)... And yes, that is a DC plate on the front, along with a Virginia plate as well ... I don't see a drivers side door (there's a spare tire there anyway), but they probably had everything in (or over) the boxes in the back seat, and set it up once they got there...
