Just started flaring the cowl. About 20 minutes in. It's making it's way to being a car.

Here is the 1914 speedster that somehow showed up a few months ago. I finally got it started a few days ago. It is not the main project, so it only gets worked on when Im waiting for other things and have a little spare time ..

I always liked Phil Reed's T he drove before he helped build "Daffodil". Phil passed away last September at the age of 98. He was a great car guy.
When did I do that?

They're all GORGEOUS......and give me ideas for the car I hope to start this spring. Walt, did you ever give thought to simply sanding and varnishing that beautiful wood body? Don't get me wrong, it turned out nice but the wood "would" have really made a different car!

Finally figure out how to login again! This is my car and the franklin racer is what I’m planning it to resemble. Here are also some pics of it along the way and to also show I’ve done more than it looks.

Here's mine. It was built by my grandfather in the early '70s. My 15 year old son is in the driver's seat for the start of the 2015 Santa Clara endurance run.

Just to add to the growing pictorial display here are a few (9) of the speedsters I've had over the years and eventually sold, several of which I have deep regrets about!!

Re: Lets see your Speedster
This is Ricky. I built it in the 90's for my daughter and son-in-law but now the younger grandson thinks it is his.
Who am I to complain.....
It still runs good, I took it to Richmond last year and it ran just fine for the whole tour. I took it to tee AZ Speedter Run in 2018 and we came fourth, I was getting tired, old age.....

Rich, Love the yellow speedster, this is the first time I can remember seeing it. Do you drive it much? The detail is nice. It is great all you sharing. These cars have to be built, there is a special kind of appreciation here.

Re: Lets see your Speedster
Scott,
Your Paco is spectacular. I love the lowered stance, it really makes the car look sporty. To my taste, a T speedster or racer needs to get closer to the ground to make it look like.....a speedster. The color is also great.
Is that a Model C Roof head?
Tom

Here is my speedster/ race car. It is registered as a 1921. The unique thing about this car is the automatic c4 transmission. It has an early Rajo racing head with out the heat riser. It has a model A full pressure crank and insert bearings.

Said to be: "the last Blaker speedster". Original owner's name painted on the hood is "Shatswell Special". Tom Shatswell of Sparks and then Turlock?
The Blaker setup.

Re: Lets see your Speedster
I might finish this before I retire. I actually have most of the parts to complete, I just need time and motivation.
Parts gathered (and thus planned), include complete A steering from column to front axle, T engine with '28 Chevy head, 19" A wheels, '24 cut off touring body. Frame has 5" drop front and rear, and is shortened 4" in wheelbase. More of a Gow Job than a speedster though.

Re: Lets see your Speedster
A little while ago I drove back to CA an while there was able to tweak my Mom's speedster and give my boy his first speedster ride. He wanted to drive all day even in the cold.

Re: Lets see your Speedster
Forgive me for borrowing this but I though it had some real charm. It was on the "Just a Car Guy" site which I have no connection with.
When did I do that?

I'm generally not into brass speedsters, but those Livingston radiators are pretty cool.

Re: Lets see your Speedster
Steve, the twin engine speedster is this I believe:
http://modeltfordspeedster.blogspot.com ... chita.html
Gary Lefever from Wichita, KS
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/33 ... 1366560083
This one from Auatrailia had consecutive serial numbers:
http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/50 ... 1422564948
I think 2 engines in a model T might be like having 2 wives. I've not tried either both at the same time.
