Re: A new 1914
Would that be a Ford photo? It is a Michigan plate. Red on white for '14.
When did I do that?

Re: A new 1914
It is Ford's 1914 manufacturers plate on that new '14.
Must be early calendar 1914, no speedometer cable showing.

Re: A new 1914
I think this photo was taken in Highland Park at the corner of Woodward and Manchester. This would have been at the southwest corner of Ford’s Highland Park plant. Part of the foundation of the “Administrative Building” is visible to the right.
The real give away here is the street car in the background. The Highland Park Plant was located directly across from the Detroit street car facility in the 19-teens and twenties.
Respectfully submitted,
Trent Boggess

What's there today? Check cashing, Dollar General, Family Dollar, and a shopping center called...

Re: A new 1914
Horn bulb seems to be at a 45 degree angle.
Was the top boot part of the original equipment? Nice one on this new car.
Thank you for the great photo.
I'd seen this one too but didn't know the location info.

Re: A new 1914
Kenneth, I believe the top boot was included in the original equipment. Larry would know for sure, I think. Good observation on the angle of the horn bulb. I don't know about the degree of angle, but it seems to agree with the angle of the steering column. Last year, photos of the interior of a 1914 were posted that showed great detail. I'd like to see those again, if someone with 'puter chops would be good enough to post a link.
