WTB Gas tank cover hinges

Post by KWTownsend » Fri Mar 15, 2019 7:54 pm

I'm looking for one or two sets of gas tank cover hinges for the steel panel.
They look like this:

Do either of you know if these are the same hinges used in the 18 Roadster? They look different. I would like to find a source for those hinges myself for the 18.

Mark,

Summary: Yes, the seat lid hinges 1915-1919 are the same for the metal front seat covers used on the metal seat frames. Those are the hinges that Keith initially posted the photos of at the beginning of this posting.

No, the wooden gas tank cover hinges for the wooden seat frames used on “some” but not all 1915 and later 1918-1919 T’s are NOT the same as the ones shown in Keith’s photos.

Please see additional information at: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2684&p=20807#p20807

Note, if I was more organized I would know where the 2 repro hinges I purchased are located. But they are in a brown box and of course how many brown boxes are there in the garage?

Respectfully submitted,

Hank-
I have one, but it is pretty bent up. I wish I had a better sample to send to you.

Keith,

All I need is a working example with the hole locations. Straighten to fit the best you can and I can go from there if you like.

All the Best,

Hank

I have 1 for free. But it’s a little different - no offset. But a bubble envelope costs $1.50 and problem $3.00 to mail...
