Geological find

Any rockhounds on here that might know what this is?
It popped up on facebook marketplace a few hours ago. He says he found it thirty years ago.

Looks like some kind of vase or pot with legs. I wonder where it came from? If it came from an area known to have been inhabited many years ago? It doesn't look like any kind of known animal with that many feet. Mavbe it was encased by a volcanic eruption?

The egg-like thing appears to be copper. The metal thing and branched structure might be parts of a man made art object or it might be some kind of coral growth encrusted over some ancient object. It could be from an ancient shipwreck, or it may be a modern object that has been in an earthquake, fire, volcanic upheaval, or mudslide. In many older cities, the modern city is built more or less upon the rubble of previous disasters. This is true of San Francisco, Galveston, and other locations here and abroad. You might dig up an object like that that dates to a fairly recent disaster, such as the California fires. The Romans used concrete thousands of years ago. It could be a relic of Nero's (alleged) fire encased in Roman concrete from later reconstruction. An expert examination would probably reveal what it is, or a least whether it is ancient or modern.

Stirred right up off the bottom!
It does seem to have certain patina to it. I think it was hit by lightning as well.

I know nothing of rocks or geology, but I agree with Ignacio. A knowledgeable person would want to know where it came from, probably that information isn't available.

I kinda like the hubcap theory too !!

I'm still wondering what kind.... is it a chunk of concrete with some 20th Century junk embedded? A Faberge
Egg from Hell? An Ancient Alien egg? Who appraised it? Ernie down at the NU-2-U?

If it was anywhere near one of the major rivers, it might have been buried sometime in the past in a flood.
